We are very much the generation of expression.
Fashion.. Music.. Sexuality.. Writing.. Art.. Gender..

Whatever it may be – we believe in and promote individuality and originality. The world is slowly becoming increasingly accepting. At least that’s what it looks like on the forefront.
Every single person you come across, whether it’s someone you walk past on the street, someone you bump into on the tube, or your closest friend – they have a story. However big it may be, however small, everyone has a story. Something that makes them who they are. How often do you think about that when you come into contact with someone and they piss you off, or even make you laugh? Let me guess- not very often right.. because let’s face it. We’re selfish human beings, and we’re not wrong in being so. We’re taught if we can’t look out for ourselves, who will look out for us… right?
I’m sure everyone knows someone who is very strong, motivated and extremely happy all the time. You wonder where they get that energy from and sometimes you just wish it could be infectious. But little do you know, that person goes home, looks into the mirror and doesn’t see themselves the same way you see them.. they’re unsure about who they even are. I know what you’re thinking, typical case study right? But let me tell you something, it’s typical for a reason. Soo many people are going through this same struggle, and we’re living our lives ignoring a real problem.
It’s so easy to hide behind fashion, music, and words. It’s easy to put on a smile for the flash of a camera, and your latest snaps. Laugh, smile and sing, but then crying at night, falling asleep and dreading another day…?
I don’t know what exactly my point is as a whole. But I know that there’s something wrong and a lot of us can’t put our finger on it. It’s so easy to get lost in this world, or in other words ‘lost in the sauce’ (lol); kind of like the way I got a bit lost writing this piece. I believe that the way to get out of the mist is simply to find yourself. I know I know, easier said than done. But the first step you should take is to focus on first your morals and values and then of course love.
If you aspire to be happy, you may look for happiness from other people. That’s simply not going to help you. You have to figure out how to find happiness for yourself without relying on others. Remove all the negative energy around you because as soon as you do, you will notice major changes.
If you’re ambitious and you want to make money, you may become so invested in getting rich quick you lose your values and could easily fall onto the wrong path. Please remember money isn’t everything. Don’t get me wrong, if ten million fell into my hands tomorrow, I’m not going to return it. But what good is having everything in the world without having people who you love and trust around you, to enjoy it with you. You want to be free from worry and stress so you can love wholly. You need to learn, maybe lose some and then win later, to appreciate the result after putting in all the energy and hard work into making your dreams come true.
We all have different outlooks to why we’re in this world. Personally, I’m still trying to figure out mine. However, by focusing on living a good life, and building myself a good future, I can accept that we’re all on this Earth for a reason, so why not make the most of it.
The way forward is acceptance.
